I love doing commissions! They are great experiences; for the client, the person portrayed as well as for me. In fact, it is one of the things I particularly enjoy about this work: meeting new people, while I can draw or paint them.

You can reach out to me for a commission for several reasons: to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary or to mark a special occasion. However, there does not have to be a specific reason! Maybe you simply want to have a beautiful piece of art that is made especially for you.

I can work on a commission in different ways, using oil paint, charcoal, Siberian chalk or pencil. The size of the work can be small or large and I work on both canvas or paper. All of this depends on your wishes, so I can work towards a portrait that suits you.

During the first meeting, we will get acquainted and discuss your ideas and wishes. We will work together to decide how to realize them. Several sessions will follow after, usually at my studio. I often continue to work in between these sessions, based on photos and/ or drawings that were taken during the sessions.

On occasion, I also work from only photos and/or drawings.
